The Art of Holding Space
A free masterclass for leaders, facilitators, coaches & culture shapers who want to create spaces that transform.
Most people think great facilitation is about knowing what to say.
It isn't.
The most transformational facilitators know how to create a space where people feel safe enough to tell the truth, brave enough to be seen, and connected enough to discover something they couldn't have found on their own.
That's what it means to hold space.
In this free 60-minute masterclass, I'll introduce you to the foundations of transformational facilitation and show you the practices that have shaped more than 1,500 circles, workshops and retreats around the world.
You'll learn how to build trust from the moment people enter the room, guide conversations that matter, navigate vulnerability with confidence, and create the kind of experiences people carry with them long after the gathering is over.
Whether you're leading a team, facilitating workshops, running retreats, coaching clients or simply wanting to create more meaningful conversations in your everyday life, you'll walk away with practical tools you can start using immediately.
✨ Join live and you'll receive my Circle Facilitation Starter Kit: a practical PDF filled with connection practices, powerful questions, icebreakers and a ready-to-use Circle template you can facilitate straight away.

"This is the work that changes lives and there has never been a more urgent time to centre what makes us human."
Nele Vandersmissen
In this masterclass you'll learn:
- Why most conversations never reach the depth they're capable of—and how to create ones that do.
- What it really means to hold space, beyond the buzzword.
- How psychological safety creates the conditions for both belonging and transformation.
- The four levels of listening, and why the deepest level changes everything.
- How to build trust, empathy and genuine connection in any team, Circle or community.
- A simple framework for facilitating conversations that people remember long after they've ended.
- The foundations of extraordinary culture and community that have nothing to do with office perks or clever values statements.
- Why conflict, discomfort and uncertainty aren't signs something is going wrong, but often the doorway to growth.
- The facilitation skills that quietly transform every room you walk into: presence, curiosity and deep listening.
Whether you're just beginning your facilitation journey or you've been leading groups for years, you'll leave with practical tools, a fresh perspective and a deeper understanding of what it really takes to create transformational spaces.

Hi! I'm Nele.
I will be your facilitator

I’m the founder of Wondr, where I’m reimagining how we build meaningful community beyond our homes and navigate collective uncertainty. Circle practice is at the heart of this mission—it has transformed my life so profoundly that sharing it with others has become my calling.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the honor of facilitating more than 1,500 Circles worldwide, both in-person and online. My journey has taken me from boardrooms to deserts, from forests to corporate offices, and across countries like China, Dubai, Singapore, Europe, the US, and Australia. I’ve spent four years with Snapchat, establishing their Council (Circle) practice in APAC, and I’ve designed gatherings for groups ranging from 3 to 250 participants.
What sets me apart is the diversity of spaces I’ve worked in—bringing the transformative power of Circle to boardrooms, global retreats, and everything in between.
Circle facilitation is the one thing I’ve spent over 10,000 hours of my life mastering.
In the past three years, I’ve trained over 500 people in Circle Practices and Rites of Passage frameworks. It’s a joy to watch them carry this work into their own communities, creating ripples of connection and positive change.
My facilitation style is grounded, playful, and deeply intentional. My mission? To help more guides, facilitators, and leaders design experiences that don’t just inspire for a moment but transform for a lifetime.
